Termite Treatment Methods

We match the treatment to the infestation — not the other way around. Here's exactly how each method works and what to expect.

Not Every Infestation Is the Same

Subterranean termites require different treatment than drywood termites. A small localized infestation calls for a different approach than a whole-structure problem. We assess every situation before recommending a treatment plan.

All our treatments are performed by licensed Arizona pest control operators using EPA-registered products. We explain every step before we start and follow up to confirm the treatment worked.

Treatment Methods

Liquid Soil Treatment

Liquid Soil Treatment

Subterranean Termites

A liquid termiticide (Termidor or equivalent) is applied to the soil around and under your home's foundation, creating a continuous treated zone. Termites pass through the treated soil and carry the product back to the colony, eliminating it at the source.

Same-day treatment
Up to 10 years
Active infestations, new construction, preventive treatment

Treatment Steps

  1. 1Inspection & measurement of perimeter
  2. 2Trenching along foundation
  3. 3Termiticide injection into soil
  4. 4Trench backfill and cleanup
  5. 530-day follow-up inspection

Pros

  • Fast-acting
  • Long-lasting protection
  • No need to leave home
  • Treats entire perimeter

Cons

  • Requires soil access
  • Not effective for drywood termites
Bait Systems

Bait Systems

Subterranean Termites

Bait stations are installed around the perimeter of your home. Termites find the bait, feed on it, and share it with the colony. The active ingredient disrupts molting, gradually eliminating the colony over weeks to months.

Ongoing monitoring program
Continuous with service
Monitoring, prevention, environmentally sensitive areas

Treatment Steps

  1. 1Station placement around perimeter
  2. 2Initial bait loading
  3. 3Regular monitoring visits
  4. 4Bait replenishment as needed
  5. 5Colony elimination confirmation

Pros

  • Minimal disruption
  • Environmentally targeted
  • Ongoing monitoring included
  • No drilling or trenching

Cons

  • Slower acting than liquid treatment
  • Requires ongoing service visits
Structural Fumigation

Structural Fumigation

Drywood Termites

The entire structure is enclosed in a tent and filled with sulfuryl fluoride gas. The gas penetrates all wood throughout the structure, eliminating every drywood termite — including those deep inside walls and framing that spot treatments can't reach.

3 days (must vacate home)
Eliminates all active drywood termites
Whole-structure drywood infestations

Treatment Steps

  1. 1Pre-fumigation preparation checklist
  2. 2Structure tenting and sealing
  3. 3Gas introduction and exposure period
  4. 4Aeration and clearance testing
  5. 5Re-entry clearance issued

Pros

  • 100% effective for drywood termites
  • Penetrates all wood in structure
  • No residual chemical

Cons

  • Must vacate 2–3 days
  • Does not prevent future infestations
  • Requires preparation
Spot Treatment

Spot Treatment

Drywood Termites

When a drywood infestation is localized to a specific area — a window frame, a piece of furniture, or a section of framing — spot treatment with a liquid termiticide or foam is injected directly into the infested wood through small drill holes.

Same-day treatment
Treats specific infested areas
Localized drywood infestations

Treatment Steps

  1. 1Locate and confirm infestation extent
  2. 2Drill small access holes into wood
  3. 3Inject termiticide or foam
  4. 4Seal drill holes
  5. 5Follow-up inspection at 30 days

Pros

  • No need to vacate
  • Targeted and cost-effective
  • Same-day treatment

Cons

  • Only effective for localized infestations
  • May miss hidden galleries
